Based on and inspired by the charming, off kilter lettering found above the Baltimore Harbor Tunnel, I crafted Horbar as a custom typeface for a local event identity. The character set comes with a number of alternatives for ease of use, and although the original tunnel lettering is only in capital letters, Horbar expands into capitals and lowercase characters. Like the inspiration, it is both very legible but retains its whimsy with long legs, irregular counters, and sometimes misplaced thicks and thins.
