Dead Letter Archive is a speculative archive of asemic and imagined writing systems. It catalogues, preserves, and exhibits scripts that cannot be read, making no effort to decipher or translate them.
As part of my graduate thesis, I designed three asemic scripts: Velloric, a Bronze Age city script from Central Asia; Thalassan, an island community script with forms inspired by waves; and Helix, a pixel-grid notation system developed on the first Mars colony. Spanning visual identity, typography, and exhibition design, the project explores what makes a writing system feel real.
