Inspired by the endearing cross-cultural exchange between two strangers learning what home means to each other, I chose to investigate the most universal of anchors: food. Rooted in Chinese culture, the chosen artifact of home was the vivid, chaotic beauty of Chinese spice food labels. So here's a nod to that small but loaded object, the humble label, and what it carries beyond its listed ingredients.
The poster tracks the typographic diversity hidden in plain sight across these labels, mapping how each one speaks in its own visual language, a different weight, a different rhythm, a different personality, all coexisting on the same shelf, the same table, the same home.
