UKA is a small fashion brand founded by two mothers, Uma and Khyati. Each garment is hand-embroidered by the founders themselves, positioning clothing not as a product but as a record of time, labor, and care. Rather than treating branding as surface decoration, the identity makes this labor visible. Drawing from Indian embroidery traditions, a dual-motif logo reflects the two makers behind the brand, while an accompanying symbol system functions as a measurement of time spent making each garment. As hours increase, the symbol grows denser—embedding labor, care, and human presence directly into the identity.
